Something to get your teeth into...

If you’d rather a more indepth read, “Sophie’s World” is an ongoing series about 40-something, newly-single, mother-of-three-and-a-cat Sophie as she tries to navigate a world that seems to have changed a lot since she last went out in it (apparently a floral tea dress paired with a wide elasticated belt is no longer a late bar standard - who knew?) You’ll always know where to catch up with Sophie as her diary can be found at the back of every issue. There’s a chance she might make an appearance in an online exclusive or two as well, so remember to subscribe to our social media accounts and follow the blog!

For the kids…

While you’re busy solving a mystery or wondering how Sophie could have made such an obvious DIY mistake, what are the kids doing? Drawing on the walls? Helping themselves to ice-cream? No - they’ll be completing the activities on our ready-to-cut-out kids’ page. Look out for some competitions there too!

And some comedy...

When you’re in the mood for some comedy, “Ask Alice!” is our resident 8 year-old agony aunt who tells it like it is! She can help with any number of everyday problems that might benefit from a child’s (often hilarious) perspective. She’s great at advising on fashion mishaps and local parks but less great at stocks and shares and serious family drama - she’s only 8, after all!
